Hi,
I install the webpart. It works.
After I add the new webpart to a sharepoint site there is a message that I need a new google api key.
I create the key on google but I dont know how to import the key to my site

What should I do?

Hiya,

You should be able to enter a brand new API key by editing the webpart by clicking - Edit > Modify Shared WebPart.  From here you will see a box to enter the API.  When you click OK, your new API is going to work.

Hello
I've got the same problem
No way to enter the API key, this error message appears at the beginning, before being ablt to see any parameter window
In my case, I am in WSS3, I don't know if it's the matter...
strucko, do you use MOSS2007 or WSS3 ?
Thanks

Hi,

First thought that comes to mind - have you already linked the web part to a list?  Does that list still exist?  If not then you may need to remove the web part and add it back to the page.  If you've tried that then I'll have another think about it.

Hi mike
Effectively, I hadn't created the google map list before creating my webpart
I did it then, and... it's the same problem   :o(
Do you have another idea ?
Thanks a lot

At the moment, this web part requires MOSS because it has a dependency on the Microsoft.Sharepoint.Publishing and may not work in WSS.  The next release will work in WSS.

Hi Mike,

Did exactly how it was described in the documentation. I have also genreated a list as you mentioned. Unfortunately I can't enter the API key, the only thing I get is the message "An error has occurred.."

Any solution for this?

Silvu
